Cape Town, 7 June 2014: The captivating fusion of fashion and film will be celebrated in the inaugural Mercedes-Benz Bokeh South Africa International Fashion Film Festival taking place from 5 to 7 June 2014 in Cape Town. Hisene South Africa will be sponsoring a selection of high end UHD TVs and the new Hisense Infinity MAXE X1 smartphone will be available to view at the Festival.
This event brings together the most talented artists, filmmakers and designers in the industry – and affords them the opportunity to showcase their cinematic take on the extraordinary world of high-end fashion.
Unlike certain garments and trends, good quality innovation in appliances does not go out of fashion.
“At Hisense, we create products that combine excellent technology and design in aesthetically pleasing ways, much like the fashion industry,” says Jinsuo Liu, Product Manager of Hisense South Africa. “Design is a skill that is grown and nurtured over time – Hisense was founded in 1969 in a radio factory in China, and today is recognised as a global Top 10 player. Our business focuses on innovation and producing products that exceed our customers’ expectations. Locally, we are continually exposed to creative talent, and our relationship with the Mercedes Benz Bokeh Fashion Film Festival is a platform for us to showcase our advanced design and support of two thriving industries, namely fashion and film.”
Adrian Lazarus, managing director of the Mercedes Benz Bokeh South African International Fashion Film Festival, says: “It is only natural that as the fashion film comes of age, and celebrates the most luxurious brands and concepts – we have teamed up with such a forward thinking partner in Hisense, who with the latest technology at their disposal are able to bring the vibrance and dynamic quality of these exciting films to the festival guests. We can’t wait to witness their New 85 inch UHD screens in action.”
In addition to Hisense, other premier brands associated with this event include make-up company, M.A.C cosmetics, international TV channel, Fashion One TV, and transportation network, Uber.
